Item Description
6x15x3.75" deep sealed box contains 12.5" posable doll. Ideal 1967. Due to success of Ideal's Captain Action line, a line for girls (Super Queens) was developed. The series included Batgirl, Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Mera (Aquaman's wife). Wonder Woman comes oddly enough with the Captain Action Captain America shield. Small separate bag with bracelets and anklets included. Die-cut image of Wonder Woman's alter-ego "Diana Prince/Nurse" appears at bottom left-hand corner. Comic strips appear on side panels. Box is still sealed and has slight warp to side panels due to tightness of shrink wrap. 2" seam split in shrinkwrap bottom that extends to bottom of front. Exc. Doll has tiny melt mark to right arm from touching shield, o/w NM as packaged. This example is choice and colors are as bright as the day it was produced. The Super Queens line sold poorly and was canceled after just one series, making them quite rare. Our last boxed example sold for $4,870.
