Item Description
Dark blue on bright gold for NYWF event "June 19, 1939." In addition to being single day issue, this badge was used only by select few serving as "Official Host." Tiny metal tab on covered metal reverse once held 1.5" aluminum medallion promoting Great Smoky Mts., Wright Brothers first flight and Roanoke Island birthplace of Virginia Dare. We've seen only one with medallion and one other without. Bottom edge has two barely showing 1/16" scratches. Rare and NM. See Ford Day #692 and Mr. Peanut #608.
