Item Description
1.5" dia. with bit of a grain pattern to simulate ivory. Front reads "Columbia 1892" and has black celluloid rim and glass cover over a working compass. Top has a pair of metal rings. Reverse names famed bicycle manufacturer and reads "Compliments Of Pope Mfg. Co. Boston." Small nick on the top edge where the hole was drilled for the ring but ring for practical purposes covers small rough spot in the celluloid. NM and only example we've seen. A rare use of pre-button celluloid to form a three-dimensional utilitarian object.
