Item Description
The first seven items are from the late 1890s and early 1900s. Most of the stickpins are about 2.5" tall. In order these read "Eclipse" with crescent moon and arrow. Next in silvered brass is for "The Thistle." Next in brass is "Deuber Special Bicycle." Next is bug wearing a hat riding a bicycle on its original card with text "Bicycle Bug Pin/Compliments Of United States Tire Co." Often times this is presented as a presidential campaign McKinley 'Gold Bug' item but it has nothing to do with the campaign. Age marks on the card, which is extremely rare, while the pin itself is Mint. Next is pin holding brass medallion picturing and reading "Syracuse Bicycles/Crimson Rims" with name of NYC dealer on reverse. Next is shorter stickpin with figural bicycle seat inscribed "Mesinger." Center of the seat has fine mesh screen, the 1900s era concept of air conditioning. Next is beautifully designed brass pin showing crown, lion head and wheel with text "Monarch." Last and more recent, 1930s, is 1" tall aluminum siren whistle with red text on side "Hall Supply - Stutz Bikes" plus a street address. Exc. to Mint except as noted.
