Item Description
1.25" with idealized nighttime view probably drawn by company artist George Blake. Camp Lewis was a community of tents established to provide accommodations at low rates for subscribers to publications of the Lewis Publishing Company and others visiting the Fair. The scene on the button includes "Women's Magazine Bldg" at upper left with its famous eighty inch search light shining down and illuminating the campgrounds. Text at the button's front top reads "Take Delmar Garden Cars To Camp Lewis." In addition the unique backpaper reads "Endorsed By Lieut.-Gen. Nelson A. Miles, U.S.A. As One Of The Most Complete, Beautiful Camps Ever Erected Under Military Supervision." Exc. and displays Mint.
