8x10x1.25” thick book by Birn Bros. Ltd. c. 1936. 124 thick paper pages plus 4 choice full color plates. Features story art on almost every page in bw, sometimes with addition of one other color that varies from page to page. Story features many characters including Mickey and Minnie, Horace, Clarabell, Donald Duck, others. One color plate titled “Mickey’s Famous Circus Train” depicts him as engineer, one story art page titled “Mickey And Minnie Went Home On The Hand-Car” features image with great likeness to the Lionel toy. Choice cover art is repeated front/back with additional illustration on spine. Moderate cover aging and edge wear. 5" split along spine edge. Still glossy and w/vibrant color. Cover VG. Penciled inscription inside front cover. Pages aged, a few w/a little bit of pencil/coloring. Fine. Only the fourth copy we've offered in our 46 years, the last sold for $486.
