Item Description
1-11/16" silvered brass badge with vertical bar pin on reverse along with name of maker "L.A. Rubber Stamp Co." In the early 1900's Main Street was the area for theaters in downtown Los Angeles. The side streets were covered with smaller establishments such as the one documented by this badge. Surrounding text reads "Penny Arcade/T.W. Johns & Co." Address at center is "431 S. Spring St." Silver luster is covered in tiny pinpoint gray dots but distracting very little. The only vintage Penny Arcade badge we've ever seen. Also see historic 1898 NYC movie theater button #1556.
