Item Description
This exceptionally large 2.75" highly detailed brass shell pin with essentially mint luster has long been a favorite in the Hake collection. Depicted riding the "GOP" elephant are McKinley in top hat and TR, with rather crazed look on his face, wearing Rough Rider hat and holding a pair of pistols in his hands. The elephant's trunk is wrapped around a flailing image of Bryan whose hair is standing on end. The entire piece has brass luster except the Bryan image is accented in his symbolic silver color. Tiny bit of silvering off Bryan but o/w essentially Mint. One of the rarest, and in our opinion, best items of the 1900 campaign. From the Hake collection.
