Auction #205 - Part II
Item numbers 1427 through 3167 in auction 205
Item Description
1.25" without any maker's name. In Auction #204 we had two similar buttons but the text was "My Ideal." Buttons were probably issued just after he signed with Columbia Records in 1943 becoming the idol of the bobby soxers. For some reason these buttons have air beneath the celluloid. In this case an 1/8" spot on the left bkg. and a .5" spot that covers most of his upper face and on to the right bkg. While the air spots show up as rather large marks in certain angles of reflected light the button remains totally clean and glossy with no stain. This seems to be the rarest of the three from this early era.
