3.5" with cardboard reverse which has large text promoting button maker "Western Badge & Button Co." We've shown the reverse of this item because it has two substantial burn marks that go well into the cardboard but not through it. Front of the button is NM displaying Mint and has additional promotional text aimed at the movie customer "Today's Big Specials/Your/Favorite/Malted Milk/20¢" This was Garbo's most successful film and the biggest hit of 1931 for M-G-M. The film premiered on the east coast 12/26/31 at Capitol Theater, NYC but its west coast premiere was at the "Grauman's Chinese" theater as named on this button. Only example we've seen.
