Item Description
See item #1616 for background information and related item. 3/16" thick by 1.5x2-3/8" lead with Robbins company in-house identification number scratched on the reverse "M5586." Front of the piece has raised image of the Tom Mix portrait "Wrangler" badge which was offered by Ralston in 1938. This is the design of the badge actually issued, but see items #1620-1623 which are rare prototype design badges. This lead proof is the example shown in Hake's Pop Culture Guide as TMX-143 with guide value of $1,750. For an example of the badge as issued see item #1617.
