Item Description
In 1938 Madame Alexander produced 16 different Disney character marionettes. This Donald is 9” tall. Complete with wood/metal wire controller unit. Painted composition w/wood legs. Nice quality fabric outfit, jacket detailed w/metal buttons (which have some aging). Has stitched tag on back reading “Walt Disney’s Marionettes Donald Duck By Madame Alexander.” Underside of one foot missing small paper piece that was factory applied to cover staples. Lt. aging, small trace of paint wear to edge of bill w/.25" sliver flake. Fine. All marionettes in this series are scarce and this is the first Donald we have offered in our 46 years.
