Item Description
Buttons are 7/8" to 2.25" and the large felt arm patch is 6" in dia. plus a pair of fabric 7" cords for tying. While all the buttons have a rodeo or bucking bronc theme the two smallest are advertising in nature with one promoting 1950s children's newspaper titled "My Weekly Reader/Adventure Club." Second litho is from the "DuMont" television network promoting their "Silver Anniversary Rodeo." These are scarce as are the 1.25" button, one in choice full color and the other with lasso/rope design "Ride 'Em Cowboy." The 1.75" buttons were issued for "National Western Stock Show & Rodeo/Denver" and 1934 Los Angeles Livestock Show & Rodeo. Brown area at base of this button looks like stain but it actually the design of a shadow being cast by the cowboy on his bronc. This button advertised "Salt Lake Stamp Co/MFRS of Perfect Ear Tags." Last we have a pair of buttons actually used by "World's Championship Rodeo Contestant/5/Madison Square Garden 1945." The first is a button while the second is the actual felt number tag he wore. Both are in essentially Mint condition. A great group of rodeo items and most are seldom seen.
