Item Description
Two items. One of a kind Lil' Patti is 28" tall overall composition wearing fabric dress with cylindrical beads on dress and hair. Figure stands atop 11.5x12" wood base with felt covered metal rods to move hands and two felt covered rods in back to move head and position body. Left hand is missing one fingernail and portion of another fingernail, otherwise Exc. Figure was designed for appearance on Patti LaBelle Thanksgiving night 1985 TV special which can be seen on YouTube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPN1DjYrDOU. Patti and Lil' Patti chat then Lil' Patti sings a line of Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It". Comes with 8.5x11" color catalog for auction held August 23, 1998 by Dove Brothers. Cover is titled "50 Years Of Sid & Marty Krofft" and has been boldly signed by each in Sharpie pen. 72 page catalog includes this rod doll as lot #75. Note includes "Mouth Moves, Eyelids Blink". Estimated value was $6,000-$8,000. Covers have a few lt. handling creases mostly just visible in reflected light. VF. Nice pair to display together. Comes with Hake's COA.
