Item Description
8.5x8.5x1" deep box with die-cut circular "window" on lid and glass cover over marble game by Minute Miracle Co. ©1942 by Harry W. Standridge, though gameboard notes game was "Patented May 21, 1935." Gameboard is cardboard with a series of holes punched out that are meant to capture marbles. Comes with 23 glass marbles, 11 black, 11 white and 1 yellow. The yellow marble is designated as "Hitler." Object of game to "Capture Hitler," by placing yellow marble in marked hole at the center of the board and surround it w/black (Axis) marbles and then to surround them w/white (Allied) marbles. Board is illustrated w/army infantry/artillery, navy and air forces w/central "V" design. Lid has heavy moisture staining and tears to edges with a 1" piece missing. Good. Bottom of box that contains game is aged but Fine. Game board is Exc. Neat design. Scarce wartime game.
