4.25x9.25" paper "Rider's And Driver's License" #2026 issued June 3, 1898 in Hartford, CT. License reads "The National Trotting Association Has Granted Ed H. McGonigle - Lancaster, PA. A License As Rider And Driver For The Season Of 1898." License also has attached 1-7/8x3.25" real photo of handlebar-mustachioed applicant. Reverse of license states the rider's "Colors, Purple." Ragged left margin as removed from pad. Fine. Interesting and early harness horse-racing item.
