Each is 8.5x11” First is a new member welcome letter issued as part of “ National Emergency Kit” to the relatively few readers requesting to become a “U.S. Jones Cadet.” Mentions membership card, and training in air raid home defense to “Defend Your Country Against Open Attack And Underhanded Fifth Column Activity.” Second letter has ten point pledge including “Learn To Use Your Code, Speak Up For Democracy, Buy Defense Stamps.” Both have original fold lines as mailed. Clean and Fine. Both are rare, and are the actual examples shown in Hake’s Pop Culture Guide. U.S. Jones had his first appearance in Fox’s “Wonderworld Comics” #28.
