18x22.5" original print poster on thin, glossy cardboard for Jan. 5, 1972 personal appearance by Stan Lee, the man responsible for co-creating Marvel Comics' Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Iron Man, among many others. Poster is comprised of 20 4.5" square blocks, each with a portion of a Marvel character's face, assembled to make one large face. Characters featured include - Captain America, Daredevil, Mister Fantastic, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Thor, Falcon, Invisible Woman, Incredible Hulk, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Vision, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Human Torch, Black Widow, Thing, Silver Surfer and Conan. One block has text reading "A Marvel-ous Evening With Stan Lee! Wednesday, January 5, 1972 At -- Carnegie Hall! Tickets: $3.50 Advance -- $4.50 At The Door -- All Seats Reserved!" Small text at bottom margin reads "Designed By George Delmerico © Copyright National Copacetic 1970. A License Of The Marvel Comics Group." Obvious wear and aging, w/numerous handling creases and scattered .5-1" tears along margins and pinholes/tears at corners. .25x1.25" sliver off along upper right margin. Just Good but a stunning design and would improve visually if matted and framed. Very limited print run. Scarce. First we've offered in our 46 years.
