Item Description
Set of 12, each 12x19" paper issued by Marvel in-house fan club FOOM ("Friends Of Ol' Marvel") c.1974. Posters include comic book covers for "Fantastic Four" #82, "The Amazing Spider-Man" #68, "Captain America" #111, "The Avengers" #4, "The Incredible Hulk" #1, "Daredevil" #44, "The Mighty Thor" #127, "Nick Fury Agent Of Shield" #6, "Sgt. Fury And His Howling Commandos" #50, "Conan" #4, "The Silver Surfer" #3, and "The Sub-Mariner" #1. Artists include Kirby, Steranko, Windsor-Smith, Buscema, Colan, & Severin. The FOOM fan club was created by Stan Lee and Jim Steranko and membership could be had for $2.50. Foom published 22 quarterly issues between Feb., 1973 and Feb., 1978 and these posters were only available through FOOM. See FOOM kit advertising these posters #2562. Scattered lt. handling wear/aging to margins, but o/w group is Exc. Superb graphics throughout.
