Item Description
Early 1940s battery operated lighter has overall size of 3x3x4.5" tall. Bakelite plastic base w/attached solid cast-metal Superman figure which itself is 3" tall. Raised "Superman" name at base of figure. Complete w/pull-out cylindrical flame unit. Battery box interior complete and clean and lighter is in perfect working order. Complete w/underside panel featuring company information. Slightest trace of wear, w/full, bright silver luster on Superman figure. Exc. A very rare Superman item, only the second we've ever offered in our 46 years. The other (in lesser condition) sold for $3,162.
