1-1/8" dia. clear plastic case watch w/wind-up stem by Old England. c. early 1970s. Part of a line of "Beach" watches that in many ways were the precursors to Swatch and its "Pop Swatch." Sealed movement modules were designed to be popped out of plastic one-piece straps. Nice pink/purple Max clouds design face. Tiny 3/8" stressline at rim, only noticeable upon close inspection. Case is VF. Watch is running and face is NM. Very rare, this is the only example our consignor has ever seen and it is the only example we've ever offered. From the David Baker Collection.
