Item Description
7x8.5" w/four pages. "A New Musical Comedy Sugar-Coated Generously With Highly Confectioned Nonsense Of The Moment." For a stage show c. 1926 of the story that would later become the 1930 film "Animal Crackers." Front features picture of the four Marx Brothers in period costume. Interior features photo of couple in 18th century garb and two other photos of chorus girls, one of which has Groucho in between w/mischievous look on his face wearing his famous Captain Spalding get-up. Back cover has four 2.5x3.5" bw full body shots of the four brothers-Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo. Front cover has two inked arrows at text bottom and second page has inked writing that says "I Want To See This. They Say It Is The Best Ever." Herald has been neatly folded into quarters and has some lt. dust soiling. Fine and rare.
