Item Description
10x14" calendar w/12 single-sided pages and a cardboard backer. Spiral-bound and has original tab hanger. © 1940 Esquire Inc. Calendar is beautifully illustrated by pin-up legend Alberto Vargas w/small calendar date and descriptive verse. Some highlights include woman dressed as baby in cradle, patriotic eagle woman w/rwb firecrackers, a woman in Robin Hood costume w/bow and arrow, and two close-up facial portraits. Top center margin has been trimmed to allow hang tab to pass through pages freely. These cuts measure .5x1.25" and only affect image on Oct. "Robin Hood" image w/a small piece of the bow removed. Lt. handling wear but all images are bright and clean. VF.
