Item Description
Outstanding 1.75" among the very earliest and best of the tobacco advertising buttons. Center pictures package in wonderful color with surrounding text "The Finest Yet./It Will Not Bite Your Tongue Or Give You Heartburn." W&H backpaper used only 1898-1900 has tan stain but the button itself has not a trace other than five pinpoint dots along the reverse metal collet. On the button's front a virtual pinpoint dot of celluloid is missing from far left but barely noticeable and all else is NM, displaying Mint. One of only about a half dozen we've seen over the years. See Indian items #742,743, 749, 758 and button sets #1424-1427.
