Item Description
1.75" dia. very early celluloid encased tape measure by W&H, undated but c. 1905-1910. Beautifully colored illustrations of equipment each titled on the machine itself as well as the supporting text "Russell Hi-Way Patrol" and "Russell Mogul." One side lists offices in four cities while the other side has the slogan "Makers Of Everything For The Road Builder." Superb NM condition displaying Mint. The tape will extend and retract but we do not recommend doing that after some 100 years. See following related item. Rare.
