Highly detailed cold cast statue is 9" tall. Sculpted and hand-painted by Kent Melton. Released in conjunction w/Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman" film. A matching Joker statue was also produced. These statues were produced in extremely limited quantities of just 50 each. Statue depicts Michael Keaton in his role as Batman. On the opening night of the film, fans found a catalog of collectibles and memorabilia on their seats at the cinema. While these statues were in that catalog, they had already sold out, and it is believed that no one in the general public ever received the chance to purchase these statues. Has hand-signed Kent Melton sticker on underside of base. These extremely fragile statues are easily susceptible to damage such as tips off Batman's ears and this example had one tip broken off and has had a professionally-made matching replacement ear tip crafted which is undetectable to the naked eye. Professional repair to crack in cape as well. Displays Mint as repaired. These are rarely offered and can command high prices making this an affordable example of a rarely seen statue.
