Auction #206 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1278 in auction 206
Item Description
1.75x2.75" badge issued by "ABC News" to its employees at Cape Kennedy which has an opening on the reverse so a job title or name card could be inserted to show through the front window. This example has no card. This August 21, 1965 launch was for an 8-day mission by Pete Conrad and Gordon Cooper. The flight took the duration record away from the Soviets and proved man could travel to the moon the back. On the reverse of the badge, the left edge cello did not tuck under the metal so it makes a small right edge bump when viewed from the front. Remains clean and glossy. Very limited issue.
