Item Description
Most of these are celluloid pin-back buttons with the largest being 4" from his Sept. 1987 visits to American cities. Three of the pieces have his color portrait on a metal backing with bar pin. One of these has a .5" scratch. Another piece is a small square plastic portrait badge. Another is larger oval on original card. The most recent couple of items are dated for 1995 and the earliest is for 1979. The earlier items in the bottom row depict Pope Leo on 1.25" full color portrait button with lightly dusty W&H backpaper. This has pinpoint nick on his cheek and small gray mark on extreme bottom edge. Next is 1" "In Memoriam Pope Pius XI." Has W&H paper. Last is for "Archbishop Francis J. Spellman." This is a real photo. Reverse has .75" hairline cello split but cello lays flat. Vast majority of items are NM displaying Mint. An in depth collection.
