13" tall largest variety w/painted composition body and segmented wood tail. This is the variety w/decal on chest w/name listed simply "Jeep." There is a variety w/slightly larger decal that has full name of "Eugene The Jeep." Decal also has a 1935 KFS copyright. Unlike most examples of this doll that you see, this one is 100% all original and w/no restoration whatsoever. Condition is extraordinary - bright, clean and glossy w/o any of the typical crazing and wear that calls for these dolls to often be restored. Shows only the slightest trace of wear, w/tiny 1/8" nick on cheek and tiny decal flakes to edges but still VF/Exc. Great likeness of the mysterious, magical creature from E.C. Segar's "Thimble Theater" comic strip. As nice an example as any we've seen.
