Auction #206 - Part II
Item numbers 1279 through 2976 in auction 206
Item Description
Early 1-3/4" c. 1903 with W&H backpaper. Shows beautiful color portraits of this famous comic strip duo who could never decide who should go first. Button advertises the "Cox-Jones" livestock commission company with locations in "South Omaha/Denver." Bottom edge has 1/8" dot which is slightly gray and with a number of very tiny craze lines. A few other barely visible pinpoint gray dots are scattered around the extreme rim edge but appearance is extremely clean and glossy. Reverse has extremely thin strip of cello that failed to fold under the collet but this lays perfectly flat and creates no problem. Early and Scarce. See next two varieties.
