Pair of WWII era items for Beech Aircraft Corp. of Wichita, KS. featuring "The Beechcraft Busy Bee" as designed by the Disney studios. First is 8.75x11.5" paper "Award Of Merit" issued Mar. 1, 1943. Has printed name of recipient and facsimile signature of Walter Beech President/Chairman of the Board. Bee wears shirt w/Beechcraft wings design and legs hold a wrench, hammer and rivet gun set against airplane blueprint background all done in the shape of a Beech leaf. Includes Walt Disney ©. Text praising the recipient includes "Kill'em With Production." Sheet lightly aged, scattered light handling wear. Clean. VF. 3.5x5" embroidered fabric patch is also in the shape of a Beech leaf and features identical insignia design as the award. Last item is 7/8x1-3/8" enameled metal pin w/matching design. Both patch and pin are Exc. All items are rare.
