Item Description
Lot of items from the 1930s by International Silver Co. 7.75x9.5x1.5" deep hinged lid box contains "Skippy Silverware" set consisting of baby's plate, spoon and fork. Box shows heavy and obvious wear w/tape repairs to corner split. Good. Interior label shows image of Skippy and has word bubble reading "I Like Anything On My Skippy Silverware!" Label has some aging and lt. wear but still displays VF. Plate has recessed areas at left and right w/text reading "Skippy Says My Fork Goes Here" and "Skippy Says My Spoon Goes Here." Inside bottom of plate has nice incised image of Skippy eating soup w/word bubble reading "I Can Hardly Wait For A Second Plate" and his name underneath. Maker's mark on underside. Spoon and fork both have same incised image of Skippy and ©Skippy text. Typical lt. wear/aging, but all retain bright luster and are VF. Last piece is 2.5" tall silver-plated cup w/built-in whistle in handle. Nice incised "Skippy" scene on outside of cup w/him saying "Errand Here And Errands There - Belittlin' I Calls It!" Bottom inside of cup has incised text "Skippy Says Blow Whistle For More." Typical lt. wear/aging, but retains bright luster and is VF. All of these items are scarce.
