Item numbers 1279 through 2976 in auction 206
Item Description
11" dia. by 4.75" tall. 1930s by Noble & Cooley who produced many different Mickey toy instruments (see tambourine, following #2150). We have seen this drum in three different sizes. Tin litho body w/linen-like fabric drum heads. Nice wrap-around scene featuring Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle and Pluto who has a large "Mickey Mouse Band" drum strapped to his back. Has original string binding and die-cut leather accent pieces. Drum heads have moderate dust soiling/aging w/some age spotting but no tears/splits. Top/bottom rims have some scattered wear to the red paint and a few minor indents. Illustrated body shows only lt. wear/aging. VF overall. Scarce.
