Item Description
5.5x19x2.5" deep red metal case w/carrying handle and latch for hinged lid. c. 1936 by Hamilton Metal Products Co. and the largest of several tool chests that they produced (see following item #2148). On the top are a pair of 2.5x5" full color decals as well as a 12" long ruler decal along bottom edge. One decal depicts Pluto helping Mickey construct a fence while the other decal is of Donald Duck working on the fence having just hit himself in the hand w/hammer. Inside surface of tool chest is quite bright and clean. The outside of chest has had red portions professionally repainted w/some minor overspray at edges of decals/ruler. Scattered wear w/some tiny dents and trace of etched name visible on main panel. The two illustrated decals have a few hairline scratches. Both decals still have strong color and are 98% complete. A few small scattered flakes on the ruler decal. While chest has its issues, the repainting has restored its appearance to Exc. Rare variety, one of just a few we have offered in our 46 years.
