Item Description
First is 1.25" which displays cleanly although with pair of long cello cracks which cross his face. Reverse has couple of tiny oxidation dots on the collet. Next is 1.5" with same photo and text but this is a gorgeous real photo without dot pattern. He began his career in 1947 with Signature Records and in 1948 had his own TV show, The Alan Dale Show, on the DuMont Television Network. One of his major hits was in 1955, a vocal version of Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. He became a friend of Alan Freed and played a rock and roll singer in the 1956 film Don't Knock The Rock along side Bill Haley & His Comets and Little Richard. Rare buttons.
