Item Description
The first two pieces are c. 1949 issued for the program Romance of Helen Trent. The first piece is 1.75" tall with front designed like a radio case featuring a die-cut window at top and a ruby-jeweled knob that turns to move five different cast photos into the window. If the piece is disassembled, the names of the five characters including "Helen Trent" are printed on the reverse of the paper photo disc. This famous show aired from 1933 through 1960. This badge was issued in 1949. Condition of the piece is NM. The second piece is a silvered brass medallion 1.25" with one side covered in Egyptian style symbols including pyramids and a crude Sphinx. Opposite side has more South American Indian type symbols. We don't know how this piece tied into the program but we once saw documentation tying it with the program and indicating it was a premium from Kolynos dental products. The third item in this group is designed as a 1.25" tall pendant designed like a book with a medical symbol on the front. We believe this relates to the CBS and NBC radio program Young Doctor Malone. The item opens to reveal paper photos under clear celluloid of a bride and groom. c. early 1940s and Mint.
