This piece is made by the same company that produced the different version shown in the Hake Pop Culture guide. The medallion on both pieces is identical but the hanger on the book example reads "Expert Sharpshooter" and the card that one comes on reads "Champ Crackshot Medal." This "Medal Of Honor" version is unlisted in the Hake guide. Issuer, with NYC address, is listed on the card as "Daniel Smilo & Sons, Inc/Under Exclusive License Gene Autry - Pat. Pend." The card lists 12 words associated with the concept of "Honor" and continues on the card "Only Those Who Qualify Are Entitled To Wear This High Decoration." The badge is gem Mint on NM card.
