Item Description
First is 1.25" spinning coin from Skelly gasoline 1940. One side pictures Capt. Midnight plus companions Patsy Donovan and Chuck Ramsey. Opposite side has his clock face logo and reads "Medal Of Membership Captain Midnight 1940 Flight Patrol." Most luster remains. Next is beautiful 3.75" long fabric arm patch issued by Ovaltine in 1943. Mint. Next is from Skelly in 1939 and among the very first of his premiums. This is known as the Mysto-Magic Weather Forecasting Flight Wings. It has a propeller design and below is a cutout letter "S" for sponsor "Skelly" with piece of litmus paper on reverse that changes color with the weather although no longer active. The piece is otherwise Mint. Next is Ovaltine premium from 1942 known as the Captain Midnight Secret Compartment Ring. Top has shield star and propeller design which slides off. Good bit of luster off but still about a third remaining with nice highlights. Next is Ovaltine premium from 1942 known as "Mystic Eye Detector Ring." This has angled glass on the interior and when viewed through a slot on the side whatever is at a right angle to the viewer can be seen. This has glossy NM luster. Last is another Ovaltine premium from 1948 known as the Captain Midnight initial printing ring. Top has his clock face logo and initials "CM." Brass top pulls off to reveal ink pad on underside plus plastic piece bearing the initial "B" for the person who ordered the premium. Nice luster highlights remain.
