Item Description
6.25" tall all plastic novelty by The Weatherman of Chicago, IL. 1950s. ©WDP. Box is illustrated w/images of toy and has brief explanatory text on one side panel and unused gift tag area on other. Box has lt. corner tip wear but remains bright and clean. VF. "Mickey Mouse Weather House" name above open doors through which die-cut plastic figures w/decals of Mickey and Donald in a raincoat go in and out. Mickey decals have a few tiny flakes off. Inside of house is separate removable cardboard insert w/"Mickey Mouse Weather Bureau Map" and laboratory equipment. Molded plastic Pluto peers through upper window. Rooster weather-vane at roof peak. Left side of door is basket of flowers marked "Fair" and at right is Figaro in "Rain" bucket. Forecaster worked in that Donald figure would come out of house eight to twenty-four hours before a storm and Mickey would come out if it was going to be nice out. Forecaster worked as a Hygrometer.
