These early 1930s dolls came in a variety of styles/sizes. This is 8" tall w/felt/velveteen-covered body, wire inserts for posing. Has metal eyes, four plastic pants buttons, string whiskers and fabric bow around neck. Missing rubber tail as is typical. Attached to one arm is the original cardboard tag w/front text "A1 Toys Are Hygienic - Mickey Mouse" along w/company name, back text includes "Mickey Mouse By Exclusive Arrangement With Ideal Films Ltd." Feet have some insect damage. Rest of doll shows just slightest trace of aging. Aside from feet defects, doll is VF. Rarely found w/tag. Only the second example w/tag we have offered in our 46 years, our last example (6" tall) sold for $948.
