1-1/8" dia. silvered metal case. Beautiful celluloid dial featuring Mickey whose hands point at the numerals plus second hand disc w/three small Mickey images. From 1933. This first version features an image of Mickey quite different from the second version dial. This early image was updated after a very brief period of time to a more traditional Mickey image. Comes w/original plain brown leather straps. Tiniest trace of wear to the case but near full silver luster remains. Case and straps are Exc. while dial is NM. Only the fourth time we've seen this variety in our 46 years, the others selling for between $2,700 and $3,200. A true rarity in the world of character timepieces.
