Item Description
Exquisitely hand-decorated porcelain sculpture atop wooden base has overall size of 8.75" tall. Sculpted by Enzo Arzenton. He first started producing sculptures for the Laurenz Disney Collection in 1983 and continued to do so until he retired in 1999. Production on all Disney pieces by Laurenz then ceased. This piece was first released in 1985. #260 of 1,090 produced as marked on underside of wood base. Sculpture features Donald relaxing atop a pile of newspapers, reading a copy of Four Color Comics #199, the classic Carl Barks "Sheriff Of Bullet Valley" issue. This issue is incredibly detailed in miniature form w/exact cover art/contents clearly identifiable as shown. A plate w/a slice of cake and a fork rest beside him. Front has scroll reading "Walt Disney Donald Duck" and base has "Laurenz" stamped maker's mark and "Walt Disney Production - Made In Italy" stamped text. Additional artist mark on base. Sculpture is Mint as issued.
