Item Description
It has been said that diamonds are a girl's best friend. Well, this unassuming-looking rock formation may hold the key to many a heart. We are offering a 6x10.5x6.25" tall conglomerate that was formed in an ancient river bed near the Formoso River in Bahia, a state in eastern Brazil. During the 1500s and into the 1600s, the Portuguese sent explorers to Brazil in search of riches. As a result, Brazil became one of the major producers of both gold and diamonds until modern times. This formation was formed over time as water swept all these separate components downriver where they formed as seen. While the piece shows mostly smooth quartz pebbles, a few glossy uncut diamonds can be seen, and much like an unopened pack of baseball cards, this piece could hide some real gems!
