Item Description
Pair of oversized 3x6" pince-nez style glasses w/celluloid lenses and rims held together by wire frame. Each lens has "The Eyes Of The World - Paramount News" printed at top and bottom, a reference to the name on the newsreels produced by Paramount Pictures (1927-1957), distributing roughly two movie theater issues per week until their closing. This promo item was made in Germany as evidenced by the partial tape strip that remains w/"Made In Germany" text. c. late 1920s-1930s. Moderate aging to cello lenses, but Fine/VF overall. Rare and fragile promotional item.
