Item Description
8x10" glossy photo shows rare image of Howdy Doody in television studio wearing sailor's outfit standing atop console marked "S.S. Television." Felt pennants w/names of "Buffalo Bob" and "Flubadub" can be seen, along w/another partial pennant. Typed press release attached to reverse is dated Aug. 3, 1950 and mentions that "Howdy And His Crew Will Return To Their Western Garb Next Month." Press release also mentions show sponsor Minute Maid's Fresh-Frozen Lemonade Mix. Reverse of photo has various inked/penciled notations and corrections as well as glue staining. This doesn't affect front of photo, which remains bright, glossy and Exc. Great piece to frame.
