Item Description
c. early 1940s. Two 5.25" dia. circular heavy metal attachments. c. 1940s. First has text that reads "We Now Know That The Japs Are Two Face Yaps." Heavy aging and scattered wear consisting of nicks/scratches to paint. VG. Second attachment has nice image of warship and "Keep 'Em Sailing! With U.S. Navy" text. Streak of paint flaking to ship image and aging to front. Fine. Both have ad on reverse for "Smitties - 7102 W. Wash. Ind." in reflective gold luster. We offered another variety attachment w/the same Smitties imprint in Auction 192 that read "I Would Rather Pay More Taxes Than Belong To The Axis" on the front and it sold for $363.
