Set of four high-quality solid heavy figurines (total weight of the set is 37 oz. of silver which equals 33.7 troy ounces), each w/Disney copyright on back of base and marked "Sterling." 2.25" to 3" tall. Each comes w/matching wood base w/metal plaque on front that includes that character's name along w/"From Walt Disney's Fantasia 1940-1990 Limited Edition" and all w/matching incised low edition number of "008/250." Set includes Ben Ali Gator, Hyacinth Hippo, Mademoiselle Upanova, Elephanchine. Each figurine has nice patina. Set is essentially Mint as issued and was created by California sculptor Stan Pawlowski using the 1940 animators' studio maquettes and were made exclusively to be sold at Disneyland and Walt Disney World in 1990. While 250 sets were produced for sale, there are many fewer complete sets of matching numbers because the parks broke up sets to sell as individual figurines. Very limited low number matching set.
