Item Description
Lot of four, sizes ranging from 6x7" to 8x10". Three of the four w/attached typed caption, other w/stamp on reverse. First shows veterans pitching camp in Indiana. Photo shows great detail w/dirt road, protest sign, milk canister, resting marchers and onlookers clearly visible. Associated Press caption about 60% complete. Next shows smokey ruins of Camp Marks, Anacostia w/U.S. Capitol dome in distance. Next shows police carrying off protester. Stamped back has penciled "Bonus Army - Police Battle Vets" text. Last photo shows soldiers building tent city for 1933 Bonus Army. Two w/trims but all are extremely clean overall. Exc. See related button #335.
