Item Description
11-5/8x13-5/8" framed sign has maker name "Scene-In-Action Corp." and patent number that corresponds to June, 1932. NM. Comes w/seven photos of FDR, measuring between 5x7" and 8x10". First shows FDR in car and has no markings. Mint. Second is c. 1933 cardstock and shows FDR standing w/two men and has caption that reads "This Picture Was Taken At The Home Of Governor Cox, In Dayton, In The Spring Of 1932, And, Therefore, Has No Political Significance In My Governorship Campaign. It Is A Most Interesting Picture And I Am Glad To Send It On To You." Has stamped William G. Pickrel signature. Next shows FDR standing w/hat off, likely at Arlington National Cemetery for a ceremony. Unmarked but vintage print. Next two show similar scene of FDR seated at Oval Office desk for trophy/award presentation to servicemen. Great images of FDR's desk w/donkey figures. Next shows FDR seated and looking at map as Navy admirals look on. "U.S. Navy Recruiting Bureau" stamp and printed caption on reverse. Last shows FDR seated and surrounded by members of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon masonic order who made FDR an honorary member. Attached news caption on reverse.
