Very interesting series of four 5.75x8" paper "Western Union Telegram(s)" addressed to either "Honorable" or "Senator" Olin D. Johnson of Spartanburg, SC. In date order these are - "Lyndon B. Johnson 1960 Oct. 4" inviting Senator as guest on "Our Special Whistle Stop Campaign Train" through South Carolina; "John F. Kennedy 1960 Oct. 12" thanking the Senator for "Accompanying Me On Monday's Visit."; "Bob Kennedy 1960 Nov. 8" asks the Senator "As The Election Takes Shape In Your Area I Would Appreciate It If You Would Call Me At Hyannisport Massachusetts..." followed by four different telephone numbers; "John F. Kennedy 1960 Nov. 12" telling the Senator "You Have My Deep Gratitude For The Efforts Made In My Behalf During The Long And Arduous Campaign. Your Continued Help And Guidance In The Challenging Months Ahead Will Be Vital As We Work Toward Achieving The Many Goals That Command Our Attention." Minor folds and aging but o/w Exc.
